Backup your photos, music, movies, etc.

I love Carbonite! (and that is not a paid endorsement)
Everyone needs to back up their files. Computers fail. If only I could get my parents familiar enough with computers to do this!!!
Carbonite is the best online backup system I can find as it has unlimited space, automatic backups, and easy restoration all for only $5 a month. Other services charge much more for space, bandwidth, or features. Carboninite is simple, inexpensive, and can backup your entire computer making it a no brainer.

Greatest new web 2.0 developments

Check out Wizag and riffs

riffs (http://www.riffs.com) is the brainchild of ATTAP and supposedly part of the engine that will drive the anxiously awaited LifeIO. You'll be impressed at the ease with which you can rate anything with the TiVo famous thumbs up or thumbs down icon. As you rate, riffs dynamically generates recommendations by identifying others with similar interests. A fun way to kill an a few minutes or more at work and a great way to get new ideas or recommendations on food, music, movies, tv, clothes, games, travel, schools, websites, software, and much more.

Wizag (http://www.wizag.com) is an RSS aggregator with digg and social networking integrated to allow you to rate and tag articles which then sorts your rss content to rank and optimize new articles so you see those likely of most interest to you.

If you sign up for either, look me up

Del.icio.us finally adding a feature

After months of stagnant development, the Yahoo Search Blog announced a new del.icio.us feature that makes it easier for people to connect and share bookmarks. Sort of. The feature is named Network Badges, they basically shows others "your user name on del.icio.us with a link to your bookmarks, how many people you have in your network, how many fans you have, as well as a link others can use to easily add you to their own del.icio.us networks."
My question is, if the whole idea behind social networking is to connect with friends to enhance your experience by getting connected with people you like, why would someone want to post a badge on a website so random people can connect?

Great value on a mesh chair

You know those famous mesh chairs renowned for their ergonomics? Combining distinctive looks with pioneering ergonomics, these chairs perform like no other. It adapts naturally and adjusts precisely to fit people of all sizes and postures doing all kinds of activities, all day long. The imaginative design of both the work and side chairs gives superior comfort, body support, and style that are widely copied but never matched. This is a good one; the only mesh chair in the world with black breathable and expandable material and a contoured mesh lumbar support. With a heavy duty metal base and dual wheel carpet casters this is the best deal I can find at only $179 for a quality mesh chair in the industry.

Wizag rocks!

The newest player in the field of RSS aggregateors Wizag and I think it rocks! It’s an online feed reader that incorporates attention data and semantic analysis in regards to both your feeds and the larger community of Wizag users. It recommends topics, visualized points of intersection between topics and new feeds based on your interaction with the subscriptions you already have. The implementation is a little slow and it’s nothing pretty to look at, but the technology is interesting.

diigo or spurl, Yahoo MyWeb?

Who uses social bookmarking and site tagging sites? I am frustrated by the overwhelming number from which to choose and can't find any difinitive guide to help me figure out which one has the best features (and largest network of users since the social aspect is one of the perks). What do you use and recommend?

Humour: Honda commercial

Worth a minute of your time!
Honda UK is running a commercial in which all the sounds are created by a choir. The car noises, music in the cd player, rain and windshield wipers, all "voiced over" by a professional choir.

Personal Shopper

One of the best shopping sites I've seen come along in a long time, Personal Shopper dynamically updates based on your product preferences. You can open the Personal Boutique page and it will simply refresh with new product recommendations every few minutes. Add friends and family with their respective interests and preferences to receive gift reminders and recommendations in time for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.
This is one of the few times I'll recommend a shopping site without my being an affiliate ;)
